Recently, PCX Composite completed a large production project involving 5,000 sets of custom carbon fiber parts for the RC industry.
A large order is never just about production. When people see a successful shipment of 5,000 sets of carbon fiber RC parts, they usually see only the final result. But behind every large production project, there are countless discussions, adjustments, unexpected situations, and decisions made together.

Challenge 1: Turning a Design Concept into Production Reality
Before mass production started, we spent around half a year working closely with our customer to make sure the design was truly production-ready.
For custom RC parts, the challenge is not only making the shape. The parts need to meet dimensional accuracy, assembly requirements, and practical performance expectations. Instead of rushing into mass production, we completed trial orders first. These trial runs gave both sides confidence before moving into large-scale production.
Problem: The design looked feasible on paper, but real manufacturing always reveals details that drawings cannot show.
Solution: Through rounds of trial production, we adjusted details and confirmed all the details. From design feasibility and production accuracy to packing and shipment.

Challenge 2: Building Trust Before a Large Payment
For an order of this size, payment terms become an important discussion for both sides. Large orders involve risks.
Problem: For the customer: Will the factory deliver consistent quality? Will production stay on schedule? For the manufacturer: How to arrange materials and production resources?
Solution: Instead of treating payment terms as a simple transaction, we focused on building a flexible cooperation model that protected both sides. Clear communication and transparency helped us move forward together.

Challenge 3: Order Became Urgent
After the order was confirmed and every detail was settled, the deadline was very close. Time for production was so tight.
Problem: Production planning became more complicated: material preparation, production scheduling, quality inspection, packing arrangement. All needed to match the customer’s timeline.
Solution: Managing a flexible production schedule and a split shipment. We adjusted our production schedule and prepared a first shipment separately, ensuring the customer could receive the parts for urgent needs without waiting for the complete order.

Challenge 4: Keeping Communication During Long Production
Large production projects cannot rely on a single final inspection. Communication during production is equally important.
Problem: Customer needed visibility: Is production moving as planned? Are there any problems? Will the schedule be affected?
Solution: We provided weekly production updates, sharing progress and important information throughout the manufacturing process. This helped both sides stay aligned and solve problems before they became bigger issues.

Challenge 5: The Unexpected Missing Part
During production, an unexpected situation happened. The customer discovered that one small additional component had not been included in the original order.
Problem: This could delay shipment and affect the customer’s schedule.
Solution: After receiving the information, we immediately arranged production for the missing parts and adjusted our schedule.
Although it was a small component, we understood that every single piece mattered for the customer’s final assembly. Our team worked quickly and successfully included the parts before shipment.

Challenge 6: Shipment Problems Beyond Manufacturing
Another accident happened. An unexpected issue happened with the customer’s courier. They could not be able to manage this shipment. This was a very serious problem, as the order was badly urgent.
Problem: Urgent!
Solution: Instead of simply saying “please contact your courier,” we stayed involved and helped handle the problem.
For us, successful delivery means the project is completed when the customer receives the parts safely — not when the package leaves our factory.

Final Result: Delivered Successfully
Finally, the first shipment arrived successfully.
The customer’s feedback was encouraging: all parts arrived in good condition, and the quality has been performing well so far.
Looking back, the biggest achievement of this project was not only producing 5,000 sets of carbon fiber RC parts. It was proving that when unexpected problems happen, both sides can communicate, solve problems, and move forward together.

What We Learned
This experience reminded us that successful manufacturing depends on more than equipment and processes.
It requires:
- Careful preparation before production
- Transparent communication
- Flexible problem-solving
- Responsibility from prototype to delivery
